The heart of the festival
ten game stations,
one story each -
gain a lesson, touch a piece of culture.
Children won't just watch and listen. They will become part of each story - playing games, completing tasks, taking on challenges and earning a small reward at the end. All ten stations are open throughout both festival days - from Thạch Sanh and Thánh Gióng, to the battle between the Mountain God and the Water God, Tấm and Cám, and the Man in the Moon. Each station has its own fairy tale and its own game. You can start at any station of your choice.
Don’t forget
Required to join the games and activities at the stations inside the Fairy-Tale Village. For each completed station, they receive a stamp in their passport and gradually make their way through the entire Fairy Tale World. A gift at the end is awarded to children who complete at least 6 out of 10 stations, so it is not necessary to visit all of them.

Beyond the village
Outside the Fairy-Tale Village, the rest of the grounds becomes a Vietnamese village market. For many children born in the Czech Republic this may be the first time they see a street vendor with bamboo baskets, a pavement barber, or a buddhist monk writing wishes in calligraphy - everyday sights many Vietnamese grew up with.

VIETFEST 2026 is co-organised by NVIEC (Network of Vietnamese Intellectuals and Experts in the Czech Republic) together with several other organisations, and is led primarily by the second generation of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic - people who grew up between two cultures. Czech society is their home, while Vietnamese culture remains part of their roots. Many of them are now parents themselves. That is why this year's theme is Trung Thu - the festival of children. We want our children to grow up with Vietnamese fairy tales, stories and cultural values that are part of their heritage. At the same time, we want to give our Czech friends a natural, close-up chance to experience Vietnamese culture.

No. Entry to the festival is free for everyone.
The passport costs 200 CZK per booklet and is required to join the games and activities at the stations inside the Fairy-Tale Village. You can still enter the festival, walk the market and watch the performances without one.

Yes. The festival is aimed at Vietnamese and Czech children alike; the stations are built to be played and understood through direct experience rather than through language.
NVIEC - the Network of Vietnamese Intellectuals and Experts - co-organises the festival together with several other Vietnamese community organisations.
