The heart of the festival
ten game stations,
one story each —
a lesson and a piece of culture.
Children do not just watch and listen. They play, solve challenges and walk through each story themselves. All ten stations are open across both days — from Thach Sanh and Thanh Giong to the Mountain God and Water God, the star-fruit tree, Tam and Cam and the Man in the Moon — each with its own tale and its own game. Children can start at any of them.
Do not leave home without it
Required to join the games and activities at the stations inside the Fairy-Tale Village. Finish a station and your passport gets a stamp.

Beyond the village
Outside the Fairy-Tale Village, the rest of the grounds becomes a Vietnamese country market. For many children born in the Czech Republic this may be the first time they see a street vendor with shoulder baskets, a pavement barber, or a calligrapher grinding ink — everyday sights their parents grew up with.
Stage
A traditional puppetry stage including a performance by the Hai Phong Art Troupe, alongside musical numbers and traditional instruments. Stories familiar to generations of Vietnamese, retold so that Vietnamese and Czech children can watch and follow them together.

VIETFEST 2026 is founded and run by NVIEC — a network of Vietnamese professionals and specialists — built by the second generation of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic, many of whom are now parents themselves. That is why the programme is aimed at children: so they grow up with these tales, this laughter and these Vietnamese values — and so their Czech friends have an easy way in.

No. Entry to the festival is free for everyone.
The passport costs 200 CZK per booklet and is required to join the games and activities at the stations inside the Fairy-Tale Village. You can still enter the festival, walk the market and watch the performances without one.
